Small Car, Big Energy Demand
The Tata Nano is the world’s cheapest car. The Nano, built in India, is only 3 metres long, but it seats four people. The Nano gets 22 km/l in the city and costs under $3,000! But don’t get too excited – it’s not available in Canada.

So what does this have to do with you? With a population of over a billion and one of the fastest growing car markets in the world, India is becoming one of the world’s largest consumers of oil. With demand for oil growing in India, China and other developing countries, Canada is sure to be producing and selling oil for many years to come.
