When you think of the oil and gas industry, you might just think of Alberta, but oil and gas is Canada’s industry. The industry was launched in Ontario in 1858 and has grown a lot over the past 150 years.
Today, there is oil and gas activity in every province and territory, except Nunavut. Almost half a million people work directly or indirectly for the industry, right across the country. And of course all Canadians use the products produced from our crude oil and natural gas.
